Early in 1990, I heard about Christian Science from the mother...
Early in 1990, I heard about Christian Science from the mother of a friend of my daughter. I invited this woman to my home to teach me a particular stitch in needlepoint so I could decorate a sweater, and this person spoke to me about Christian Science.
I was very interested in what she said and asked her to take me where I could learn more about this religion. I waited impatiently for the appointment which she had made for me with a Christian Science practitioner. When talking with this practitioner, I appreciated what she discussed; the logical spiritual concepts and their promise of a better human life brought hope and encouragement.
I began attending Christian Science church services. In order to do this, I secretly had to leave my husband and the rest of the family; I couldn't imagine their reaction.
