The power of honesty
"I Didn't want to hurt someone else." "I didn't want to get myself into trouble over a small thing."
"Everyone stretches the truth now and then."
It doesn't matter how we justify little lies—or even big ones; we know they just aren't true, and no amount of talking our way around them will ever make them true. But what if we feel we or someone we care about can profit in some way from a lie? Is there any compelling reason to be honest and tell the truth?
