It has been over twenty years since my last testimony appeared in print. Since that time my family and I have had so many proofs of God's allness in healings of eye and of gum problems, relationships, supply, and many other challenges.
One healing that brought me lasting inspiration and gratitude was that of a fall. I was trying to start my lawn mower when I fell, twisting my leg and knee. I couldn't put any weight on the leg, and it was swollen. I had planned to go to my granddaughter's basketball game the next day, so I called a Christian Science practitioner the next morning and told her my story. I am so grateful for her love and prayerful treatment. She reminded me of Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (p.vii). All day that feeling of being supported by God filled my conscience. I enjoyed the game, and coming home I was so grateful to my family for their support and for God's love. I was convinced the healing had taken place. The next morning there was no trace of swelling or discomfort.
Another healing was that of supply. Because of an error by the government, no income was sent to me. My first thought was that I must love, just love. I reasoned that God is in control, not computers and people. Mrs. Eddy speaks of divine Mind as "Deity, which outlines but is not outlined" (Science and Health, p. 591). I knew my responsibility was to reflect God, not to outline events. My needs were met, and the situation was corrected more harmoniously than I would have "outlined."
