About a year ago I woke one night very sick and nauseated
About a year ago I woke one night very sick and nauseated. In the morning I called my mother, who lovingly came right over and tended to my daughter.
As I lay in bed all day I prayed, resisting the temptation to wonder why this was happening. I persisted in knowing that God governs consciousness. Man is God's reflection and is governed entirely by His laws.
I remember thinking, "I'll never eat again!" This alerted me to fearing food as a cause, and I recalled several statements from Science and Health that helped me to overcome the belief that food can cause harm. Science and Health points out, "The fact is, food does not affect the absolute Life of man, and this becomes self-evident, when we learn that God is our Life" (p. 388). God is the only Life and the only cause, so matter cannot cause something, or be anything, and there can be no ill effect from food, virus, or any other form of matter.
