One afternoon two local businesswomen visited me
One afternoon two local businesswomen visited me. Before long the business of the day was forgotten, and we found ourselves discussing healing. After recounting many outstanding spiritual healings I'd had, I realized I must share some of them with a broader audience.
Our mother found Christian Science as a teenager. Consequently, her own family had the blessing of knowing the truth of God. When I was in the fifth grade, I became very ill at the beginning of the Christmas vacation. My father was not a Christian Scientist, and he called in the only three physicians in the area. They all agreed that my appendix would burst, but that the condition was too critical for them to move me or to operate. They advised my parents that they should pray.
My mother had my father's consent to call a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner assured her of God's love for me—that God indeed was my very Life. Almost immediately my condition improved, and it was evident that something was draining harmlessly from my body. I was back in school when the vacation was over, completely healed.
