Parents and spiritual healing
While much of the media coverage of court cases involving Christian Scientist parents has reflected an ignorance of Christian Science practice and its healing record, there have also been voices of reason and understanding. The following article from The Orlando Sentinel (April 9, 1995) illustrates how some writers are seeing the bigger picture.
It was written by A. E. P. Wall, who is editor of the Central Florida Episcopalian. He has been vice-president of the lay board of a major hospital, and one of his children is a physician and medical school faculty member. Mr. Wall is a life member of the International Order of St. Luke the Physician.
