Spirituality in children
This week the Sentinel discusses spirituality in children with a radio producer in London, and with the Professor of Religious Education at the University of Birmingham in England.
Christ Jesus' call to his followers to become as little children if they would enter the kingdom of heaven (see Matt. 18:3) still resonates through life today. While adults often toss and turn over questions of identity and purpose in life, many children rest trustfully in their understanding of God's direction and care for them.
This was evidenced in a BBC World Service radio program "Little Angels" a few months ago in which children openly shared their thoughts about God:
