How wonderfully reassuring it is to know that encouragement, comfort, and healing are available to us through the inspired statements contained in the Bible. For example, in the book of Isaiah we are told, "Ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace" (55:12). What a remarkable promise!

Just recently that Scriptural assurance of guidance and protection was fulfilled for me. While preparing to leave for a church meeting, I hurriedly went to step out onto a balcony to secure the shutters. As I did, I walked straight into a clear, plate-glass door that I had not realised was closed at the time. Both my face and one foot struck the door forcefully.

As I retreated slowly back to a nearby bed, I felt great pain in my cheeks and toes, numbness in my nose, and was dizzy and faint. At the same time, I remember thinking: "This is ridiculous! I have an important meeting to attend, and I can't be prevented from being in my right place." I started to pray.
