Science and Health says clearly: "Not muscles, nerves, nor bones, but mortal mind makes the whole body 'sick, and the whole heart faint;' whereas divine Mind heals. When this is understood, we shall never affirm concerning the body what we do not wish to have manifested" (p. 219). I had a healing based on the understanding of these words.
I started to get out of bed one Wednesday morning and suddenly landed on the floor. I struggled to my feet, but walked bent over, feeling nearly overpowered by the pain.
Immediately I wondered what I would do about serving as First Reader for our church that evening. Gratefully, the next thought came just as quickly that I would do what always do on Wednesday.
