Several years ago I was feeling extremely frustrated in my job

Several years ago I was feeling extremely frustrated in my job. I yearned for something different, yet I had no idea what that could be. A Christian Science practitioner helped me to understand that God had established my correct employment and that it could appear to me. I was in the school picture business.

One day when I was with a school principal, I began to ask her about entering the teaching profession (something I'd previously considered out of the question). As I left the school that day, I felt that God was taking the lead in my life and that a new career direction had begun to unfold. Within just two weeks I had applied to a local private college, been accepted, been admitted into the teacher credential program, and has started classes.

A year and a half later, as I was getting ready to think about job placement, a previously promising job market now looked grim. Throughout the county and state there were budget cuts and layoffs. Whenever I thought of the poor job market, I prayed to grasp the spiritual fact that God does not bring His child partway through a demonstration, but that His direction and guidance ensure complete success and progress.
