Peacemakers, and overcoming racism
This week we discuss some women pioneers in peacemaking and share letters from children who wrote to an American newspaper about overcoming racism.
The achievements of several influential women are documented by English writer and radio commentator Michael Henderson in his book, All Her Paths Are Peace (1994, Kumarian Press, Connecticut).
In an interview with the Sentinel, he explained that his experience in many countries had convinced him that peace is the fruit of new attitudes, a way of life that includes forgiveness and restitution.
