All things were made new for our family, after my husband...
All things were made new for our family, after my husband accepted employment in a new area. Our only son was in the third grade in grammar school at this time. I had been searching for an understanding of God in the religious book section of the public library.
I found a biography of Mary Baker Eddy and checked it out. Then a neighbor invited us to attend Sunday services in the local Christian Science Society where she and her family attended. Our sons had become acquainted.
After that service, I received a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy. Soon I began to study the weekly Bible Lesson and I knew I'd found my answer because I had found God. I was inspired by this definition in the Key to the Scriptures: "God. The great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence" (Science and Health, p. 587).
