As a third-generation Christian Scientist and mother of three children, I would like to offer another perspective to the question of relying on medical treatment to heal children.
Your editorial Dec. 6 advocates that the government require all citizens to rely on medical treatment for their children's health. It implies that medical science is the only way to safely care for children and dismisses the power of prayer. Yet I know from my own life that prayer does heal....
