Are you interested in hearing how Christian Science heals and changes people's lives for the better? Then why not attend one of the Wednesday testimony meetings that are held in Christian Science churches worldwide? Everyone is warmly welcome to attend these meetings, as well as the Sunday services. The church directory in The Christian Science Journal tells where and when they are held.

Thoughtful voices raised in the "public square" do make a difference. Responding to "an avalanche of calls and letters from many constituents, " Representative Dale E. Kildee of Michigan 's Ninth Congressional District wrote to the Majority Leader in the United States House of Representatives about health care reform and Christian Science care and treatment. Rep. Kildee's letter states the case for inclusion so effectively that we asked him for permission to reprint it for Sentinel readers. It is, after all, inclusion on what some Congressional leaders have called a "level playing field" basis—all health care systems being treated equally—that the Christian Science Church has been seeking. We've been part of literally hundreds of conversations in which the public's right of access to spiritual healing was discussed. We've worked to bring specific enlightenment to these considerations concerning the practice of Christian Science healing and nursing care. In this context, we found Rep. Kildee's acknowledgment of Christian Science care and treatment, and their utility to society, an encouraging step in the process.
