They called me adventurous!...
They called me adventurous!
This spring we were on a ecology trip to Big Bend National Park on the Rio Grande River in the state of Texas. We went river rafting. I climbed mountains, and maneuvered over and around boulders in deep canyons and in high places. We walked miles in that week to find the ninety-eight different species of birds I actually saw and identified.
All of this activity happened three years after I was carried into a Christian Science care facility with severe back spasms; I could not even crawl or make the slightest movement. During this challenging time, I kept saying to those around me, "I don't believe this, so don't you either." Because these people understood my basis for disbelieving the condition—God's omnipresence—this was an intelligent thing to declare to them.
