I would like to express deep gratitude for all I have learned in Christian Science concerning man's relationship to God. Through a systematic study of the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and of other Christian Science literature, I have gained insight into the true nature of man as spiritual, one with God, his source. This has helped me in countless situations and has brought healings of various physical difficulties.

I am especially grateful for a healing of the symptoms of a stroke. One day I suddenly fell to the ground and was unable to move. I lost consciousness, and when I regained consciousness again for just a moment the following thoughts came to me: "God is Love," and "God is my Life."

This recurred several times but each time these words strengthened me, and the interval when I was alert became longer. A Christian Science practitioner prayed for me, affirming my unchanging perfection through a spiritual perception of the truth of God and man. Because one side of my body was completely paralyzed, it was very difficult to speak. But we prayed together, with much devotion, that I might realize man's absolute inseparability from God. No medical treatment was ever given.
