Our daughter was planning to get married in several months. She and our son-in-law "to be" said they were taking care of everything, and that all we had to do was to be there. Happiness and joy filled our house from that moment on.

But then fear started to come to my thought. How would I be able to wear new shoes and dance, or even walk, at the wedding without pain? You see, for many years I had suffered from much pain in my feet that sometimes made walking difficult.

I really started to pray. We have all been given a great gift in Christian Science, including the gift of correct reasoning. I went to Science and Health and I prayed for "right reasoning." I knew my answer would come. First I just sat quietly with the expectancy of healing. Then in my study I came across this passage: "When we are awake, we dream of the pains and pleasures of matter. Who will say, even though he does not understand Christian Science, that this dream—rather than the dreamer—may not be mortal man? Who can rationally say otherwise, when the dream leaves mortal man intact in body and thought, although the so-called dreamer is unconscious? For right reasoning there should be but one fact before the thought, namely, spiritual existence."
