I would like to share a testimony concerning my wife's healing...
I would like to share a testimony concerning my wife's healing of sterility. During my first years at the University of Kinshasa, my wife was living temporarily with my parents more than sixty miles from the capital. During this time my parents sought treatment for her from various healing systems. A medical diagnosis reported that lesions in the uterus were the cause of the problem. Soothsayers said that her sterility was caused by witchcraft. But although she faithfully followed prohibitions and taboos, none of these systems could heal her.
The first time I suggested Christian Science treatment to my wife, she flatly refused. (An old school friend had introduced me to it about a year earlier.) Witnessing a wonderful healing of my mother, however, led my wife to reconsider her decision. She then took metaphysical healing seriously and accepted it.
So I started my metaphysical treatment for my wife as soon as she returned to Kinshasa in July 1981. First of all I asked her to give up all the prohibitions and taboos, since God did not demand it and forbade her nothing good. I held firmly to the spiritual concept of justice and to man's God-given right and freedom to be fruitful and multiply as stated in the first chapter of Genesis. I acknowledged the true status of man (including my wife) as the reflection of God, Spirit. I also deeply pondered the various healings of sterility told in the Bible, including the cases of Hannah, Sara, and of the Shunammite woman.
