Can God bring healing to a situation that appears beyond...
Can God bring healing to a situation that appears beyond our control, and where crime has occurred? A few years ago while working at a summer camp, my wife and I learned that He can.
This camp conducted weekly summer programs on state-owned property. On weekends the staff would routinely secure valuable equipment and personal gear in a barn provided for this purpose. One Sunday, we discovered the barn had been vandalized; there were signs of much intentional destruction, and a lot of valuable equipment was missing.
Since we had just come from an inspiring Christian Science church service, however, it seemed quite natural for us to turn to God at this moment. I prayed, and with this came a clear, confident sense that none of this was God's doing. The episode would not leave any of us as victim or culprit, for as St. Paul tells us, "In him [divine Love] we live, and move, and have our being."
