You are precious to God
Can you imagine the sun without its rays? No! If the sun had no rays, you would have no knowledge of the sun. You would know nothing of its light and warmth. You would have no proof of its existence. Without its rays, the sun could not bless the earth.
Can you imagine God without man, His spiritual expression? No! If God had no expression, you wouldn't even exist. There would be no knowledge of God. There would be no spiritual light and warmth—no proof of God's existence. As Mary Baker Eddy says: "God, without the image and likeness of Himself, would be a nonentity, or Mind unexpressed. He would be without a witness or proof of His own nature" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 303).
Of course, the sun does have rays. The sun and its rays are inseparable. And God does have man. God and man are inseparable. You are precious to God.
