A Beautiful opera is in performance on stage. But in the audience the man in front of me is sound asleep.
A couple leaves a movie. The man says, "I don't get it. The story line wasn't clear." The woman replies, "You didn't pay attention. You weren't listening carefully. I got it."
A child ignores his mother's warning and runs across the street against the red light. His mother, frightened, screams at him. The child's obedience would have saved his mother a scare and certainly would have been safer for him.
