Subscriber service and the flooding in Des Moines
An August 9 Sentinel article entitled "New life after the flood" spoke of many news accounts that "shared reports of self-lessness and combined community efforts to help one another." We have our own examples to report.
Several readers called CDS, our Subscriber Services department in Des Moines, Iowa, expressing concern and support for the people there. These employees felt the neighborliness expressed and they appreciated it.
We are grateful for the dedication and professionalism shown by the staff in Des Moines. They crossed the waters and worked under difficult conditions to service subscriber accounts and produce labels, thus enabling our publications to reach our readers. Some had homes damaged or destroyed and yet faithfully showed up to service accounts.
