In my youth, a Christian Science practitioner often came to visit my grandmother. She would tell us of the many wonderful Christian Science healings she had witnessed.
I started reading Science and Health even though I often wondered if I'd ever understand the many big words. My love of the truth I was learning caused me to persist in this study.
Before long I too had the first of many healings. My brother and I sometimes took nature walks in the woods near the small town where we lived. Every year I would encounter ivy poisoning. This would strike me with such severity that I would be covered from head to toe with a rash and be in great discomfort.
