An opportunity
Recently we viewed some of the new videotapes just released by The Christian Science Publishing Society. Because of the topics they cover—climate control, Islam in America, the Amazon, and gardening—it is likely that many would find these tapes a valuable resource. Church members and/or branch churches might want to look into the possibility of making these available to their local schools or libraries. Today, most maintain some sort of video collection, and these tapes would probably be quite welcome, especially to those already familiar with the standards of The Christian Science Monitor. There may be other groups as well that would find these programs of interest. (The tapes are not available in PAL formats.)
The Publishing Society has also produced several videos for children that introduce them to the Bible. Many parents have expressed concern about the difficulty of finding suitable material for young children in today's market. We feel it's encouraging that Christian Science Reading Rooms have a number of resources for both parents and children.
