Remember, you are God's reflection
The most basic spiritual truths show us the way to healing.
Just after we had moved into a new home, I became ill with a cold and lack of strength. My prayers didn't seem to help.
My husband called my attention to the scene outside our cabin windows. I saw the trees and snow-capped mountains across the lake perfectly mirrored in its calm waters. What a radiant, inspiring sight! Immediately I recognized the lesson I needed to learn to lift me out of the morass of self-condemnation and self-pity, out of feeling separated from God. Right in front of me I could see a perfect example of reflection, the reflection as beautiful and unchanged as the original.
A Bible verse from I John came to thought: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
