Dave's decision
One time when Dave was in sixth grade, his family went on a vacation to a national park in the mountains. They stayed close to a beautiful river.
One afternoon Dave found a bend in the river that looked like just the right place to go fishing. The water was slow and had some deep pools.
Quickly he got his rod and line ready. But as he was pulling the line between his fingers, he mistakenly pulled a barbed hook deep into one of his fingers. He tried hard to remove the hook, but there seemed no way to do it.
