To find happiness and stability, are we tempted to depend on some other person, some future event, or whatever our current employment happens to be? It doesn't take long to discover, however, that most of the things around us are more or less changeable. Nothing is really a "given," not that anything ever has been—except one thing: God and our relationship to Him.

The author of the first article in this Sentinel writes of how we can depend on the unchanging, permanent power of God instead of living as a victim to the whims of materiality. The next article deals with astrology and presents some surprising conclusions about the different ways astrological notions may be taken in.

Wherever you happen to be as you read this magazine, the healing concepts presented in the articles, testimonies, and features are immediately available to you. No, it's not the pages themselves that feed people's spiritual hunger. It is the ever-present influence of Christ, Truth, which the contributors, in one way or another, are all writing about, that provides what is truly helpful. Your response to the ideas presented in the Sentinel actually proves God's nearness to you. This nearness is tangible, real, and you can rely on it.
