INSIDE: LOOKING INTO THIS ISSUE
In a television interview recently, some children were asked, "If you ruled the world and could make things any way you wanted, how would the world be?" One little girl answered, "Everything would be the way it's supposed to be."
We all have some idea of the way things are supposed to be. People ought to be unselfish and caring, and sickness and suffering shouldn't exist. But is this just an exercise in wishful thinking? Many people who have had experiences of Christian healing in the twentieth century are not inclined to think so.
This Sentinel includes a range of experiences that illustrates how very tangible and practical Christian healing is today in the face of some pretty serious problems. One author tells, for example, about how a new understanding of what it means to be a child of God dissolved guilt and hatred that had been caused by sexual abuse.
