I am unspeakably grateful for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mrs. Eddy who discovered Christian Science and founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, "... which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Manual of The Mother Church).

About twenty years ago, my wife and I and our three children were living on a ranch in Oklahoma. One day the children asked me to help them build a treehouse in our yard. While working on this project, I fell backward onto a discarded board with some rusty nails sticking out of it. Three of these nails went into the calf of my leg.

I removed the nails from my leg and told the children that everything was all right. Then I silently prayed. I just knew I could never be separated from God, Life. I was also praying to understand that divine Spirit, Love, is ever present, all-knowing, and all-powerful, forever enveloping man in its care.
