A simple rule of health
If healing through prayer is delayed, we may need to be more thorough in quieting fear.
Sometimes the simplest rule followed can make all the difference.
I have a friend who discovered this in relation to his health. One summer day several years ago he realized that a numbness and dull ache had edged into one side of his body, including his head. As the trouble became worse, he grew alarmed.
This man's practice had always been to seek healing through prayer in times of physical illness or injury. His study of the Bible in the light of Christian Science had shown him that health could be restored in this way safely and reliably. So he had no hesitancy in tackling this trouble with prayer. The Bible, in Jeremiah, promises, "I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord."
