Destroy those monsters
We don't have to feel trapped by fear or pain. We have God-derived authority to refute them and be free.
Have you ever participated in or watched children play some of the electronic games, particularly those that have monsters or other "bad guys" to shoot down? Just when you think you've destroyed them all, more appear, often in greater numbers and more ferocious.
Sometimes it seems as though fearful thinking and the bodily pains confronting us are like those monsters—difficult to destroy and even more difficult to keep from recurring. The pictures appearing on the screen of our thought at such times would have us believe that we're helpless, hopeless victims.
Is there no hope? Christ Jesus proved there is the hope not only of healing but of spiritual regeneration. Yet are his teachings and demonstrations really practical today? Can we use them ourselves to destroy the monsters of fear and pain?
