My first healing in Christian Science took place twenty-two years ago. I suffered from constant headaches and a weakened nervous system. I could find no peace. I didn't like to stay at home, so I worked all the time.

An acquaintance of mine invited me to go to a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, with him and also to consult a Christian Science practitioner. But I didn't really think this could help me, and I said to my friend, "Someday I'll go." One day I was desperate from a headache and resolved to telephone and make an appointment with the practitioner my friend had mentioned to me. I left work and went at the appointed hour. I was very well received by the practitioner. We talked for two hours, and I realized I no longer felt any pain.

As I went home, I began to feel bad again and thought to myself: "If I have been treated by several doctors and taken all kinds of remedies and never got well, am I going to get well just by talking to this woman?" But after I arrived home, the suffering stopped completely. That pain never came back. At the same time I had a healing of a family relationship, which had seemed very difficult but was not difficult for God, for He loves all His children.
