One evening our son began to have a seizure
One evening our son began to have a seizure. I took him upstairs while our daughter called a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner came to the house to pray with us. By the time she left, the child was entirely healed and sleeping peacefully. He never had another seizure. That was twelve years ago.
Another healing involved this same child. One day the school nurse called to tell me that our son had come into her office holding his head and complaining that he didn't know what had happened. It appeared to her that he had bumped into something, for he had all the symptoms of a concussion. (I later found out that he had collided with another child while running to class.)
Before I went to the school to pick up our son, I called a practitioner, who agreed to give our son Christian Science treatment. He shared the following passage from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "The spiritual man's consciousness and individuality are reflections of God. They are the emanations of Him who is Life, Truth, and Love." I pondered these words as I went to get our son.
