Praying—simply
Simple prayer can be powerful prayer.
There are times when the very best prayer we can pray is also the simplest prayer we can pray. And there are times when it is this simple prayer that is needed more than any other.
One kind of simple prayer is asking God to help us—to help us be more like Him; to help us be kinder, more compassionate. We ask God for the humility to seek for ourselves only what He wants for us. We ask Him to uplift our motives and our values and to improve our reasons for doing the things we do.
When our heart prays these simple asking prayers, the prayers are answered. One reason they are answered is that it is our heart doing the praying.
