With a very deep sense of gratitude for the many times I have been uplifted and inspired by the testimonies of others, I would like to offer mine.
Upon waking one Sunday morning, I found that one of my eyes was swollen and half closed with what appeared to be a sty. I was serving as a Reader in our branch church at that time, and I needed to be at my post in three hours. I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. Her prompt response helped me see that God's child is not a helpless victim and that error is nullified by divine Truth. As I prayed, I gained a wonderful feeling of peace and knew that all was well.
Shortly before it was time to leave for church, the sty opened and drained and my eye returned to its normal appearance. I was so grateful for this proof of the fact that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew). This healing occurred years ago, and this condition has never returned.
