I'd be glad to yield if I only knew how!

Yielding to God's government may involve struggle, but the outcome is certain victory.

One of the most important elements in spiritual healing is yielding to God's government. I guess I've known that fact, at least intellectually, for some years now. But it's one thing to know that's what you need to do, and it's another thing to know how to do it.

Many times, when faced with the divine demand to let go of willful, personal control in a situation, I've found myself driven to my knees in prayer. "Dear God, show me how to yield. I'm ready and I'm willing, but I don't quite know how to let go of all of the concern." Every time I've sincerely reached out to God in this way, my prayers have been answered in an inspired, practical, clearly understandable manner.

For instance, there was the time when one of my daughters was having a discipline problem at school. She had been rude and uncooperative with a young student teacher in her class who was striving to maintain strict discipline. My daughter and I had talked about the fact that God's children dwell together in love and about her need to be respectful and obedient. But the problem kept getting worse.
