After a few visits to a Christian Science practitioner, I was invited by her to attend a Christian Science service. It was a Wednesday testimony meeting. At the end I thought, "I'm going to come regularly to this church." And in fact I never missed a Sunday service from then on.

For some time I had been ill and had spent much of the time in bed or visiting doctors and pharmacies. One day I again stayed in bed. On waking the following day I thought, "What am I doing lying here?" I got up and went to telephone the practitioner. She asked me to study a certain page in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. She said I would find something that would help me as she prayed. One statement I read was, "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself." I accepted this as true, realizing that God, divine Life, was sustaining me; and when I finished reading, I set about cleaning the house and doing all that was needed. I was healed and very happy with the freedom. I never again suffered from this illness.

The following day I telephoned the practitioner to thank her for her help. She said to me: "Today is Wednesday, and I'm going to church. If you'd like, you can come with me." I went and testified to the healing, feeling very grateful and happy.
