Feeling close to God
Our younger readers sometimes write to us about their important experiences in feeling close to God. One can 't help sensing that there is much more hinted at than the words themselves may be able to explain. We're sharing a few of these contributions with appreciation for something special that shines through them—a quality of spiritual conviction and clarity that reminds us once again of Isaiah's words "... a little child shall lead them."
Last Friday morning I woke up and had a very bad sore throat, and it was my favorite day of the week, library day. I was very sad at first but then this thought came to me with a feeling that told me I should believe it: "You reflect God, Allison, and God is all good." I thought about those words a long time, then I said to myself, If I reflect God and God is all good, then nothing can spoil my day. Then at that instant my throat stopped hurting! So I had a joyous day as I thanked God for such a wonderful healing.
