Christian Science came into my life in 1988 when I was suffering from partial paralysis of the right side of my body from head to toe, and also from intense pain. During this period I tried to find help from any source, but all in vain.

I complained about this situation to my cousins, who are students of Christian Science. They gave me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to read together with the Bible. As I began to read Science and Health I started to feel a new sense of life, but the pain persisted.

My cousins offered to take me to a Christian Science practitioner in Lagos. The practitioner started to explain the truth to me (which I had not known before) that I am truly a perfect child of God; that I should not fear; that sickness is illusion, not the reality of being. She gave me some citations from the Bible and from Science and Health that she thought would be helpful, and she promised to pray for me. Before reaching my house that day I was perfectly well. I thanked God for Christian Science. (At the same time I was healed of the desire for strong drink and cigarettes.)
