Something to cheer about
Lynn loved cheerleading. It was her favorite after-school activity in junior high. But late one summer she began limping because of a wart on the bottom of one foot. The wart spread until both feet were sore.
As a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School, she decided she should not just ignore her feet. She knew that Christian Scientists usually are quick to correct things that are bothering them. She knew that God would heal her, and she trusted His power with all her heart. One of her favorite Bible passages comforted her and made her feel sure that prayer was practical: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases."
Lynn's parents had no doubts about the treatment they trusted for their daughter. They were praying for her; they had called a Christian Science practitioner to help them all pray and to see that as God's child Lynn was under His law of well-being.
