I feel very blessed to have been raised in Christian Science. The spiritual truths I have learned over the years have helped me overcome many difficulties, both physical and emotional.

One of the biggest challenges I have faced happened not too long ago. While I was driving home from work one afternoon, my car was struck broadside on the driver's side by another car (the driver had run a red light). Although I was not fully conscious of what was happening around me after that, I do remember feeling God's loving presence very strongly.

I was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance, where I was examined and X-rayed for injuries. In view of the severity of the crash, the doctors were surprised that my injuries were not more extensive.
