Simple truths heal

Spiritual healing doesn't have to be long and hard. It can be profoundly simple.

To say that the simple truths of God heal isn't to encourage shallow thinking. It's to focus thought on fundamental laws that derive from one universal Principle, the creator of all that truly is. These basic verities, or laws, constitute the teachings and practice of Christian Science.

One such truth is that man is God's own perfect image, or idea, His spiritual likeness, as the Bible imports. Admittedly, the spiritual truth of man is easier to talk about than to prove. The seemingly difficult part is to accept this simple truth and live in accord with it. But as we do, it proves more real and powerful than entrenched human opinions about disease or sin that contradict the spiritual fact and that need the healing correction of Christ.

God's healing and redeeming truths, accepted in consciousness and applied in daily life, represent the coming of Christ— God's eternal message to us, which was uniquely presented in the person of Jesus. Divine Spirit imparts these healing truths today, as in Jesus' time. They give us spiritual authority to dispute material evidence. Misfortune, disease, discord, yield to their vitality and power.
