Each trusting step
Holy and secure is the avenue
of light—wholly beneath
each trusting step of life.
God holds us steadily in His
ever-tender sight, as we enter the narrow.
Wholly safe, even in the night.
Wholly still in the dark
that would try to disquiet.
Our hope, our prayer, our praise
part the shadows of these alleyways,
instantly revealing His avenue of
light, firm beneath each trusting step.
