"The ears of the deaf shall be unstopped" (Isaiah)
"The ears of the deaf shall be unstopped" (Isaiah). When I was a young woman I lost the hearing in my right ear, and then my left ear became partially deaf. I was forced to lip-read and often asked people to repeat what they had said. I could barely hear the Sunday service at the branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I attended and was unable to pick up testimonies at Wednesday evening meetings. The feeling of remoteness and separation from everything was most distressing.
At this time in my life, a series of traumatic events, which caused me great mental and physical distress, took place within a short period of time. I turned humbly to my Father-Mother God for help, and, with the prayerful support of a Christian Science practitioner, I gradually regained my health. However, the deafness persisted.
