When I was introduced to Christian Science I was lonely, withdrawn, and poorly educated. The privileges, opportunities, love, and joy that seemed to come so naturally to others had eluded me completely right from early childhood.

However, as I began to study the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, peace came over me. I made many discoveries. One was that there is a God and that He actually knows me and loves me. I found, too, that He needs His children as we need Him.

This was a real comfort.
