My first healing was of chronic appendicitis
My first healing was of chronic appendicitis. During an attack of this condition, the young man I was dating, a Christian Scientist who later became my husband, came to my aid. Before he had finished reading the ninety-first Psalm to me, the pain was gone and I was healed. I had been told that I would need an operation to be free of the difficulty, but I never suffered from it again.
I had been searching for a religion that would give me a better understanding of God, a sense of His presence every day, not just on the Sabbath or in church. My first visit to a Christian Science church service filled me with certainty that my search was over.
Science has enriched my life past measure and has blessed our family in innumerable ways. There have been resolutions of problems involving relationships, housing, and supply. A few of the physical healings we have had include those of an abscessed ear, sick headaches, and what appeared to be a broken collarbone.
