I have so much to be grateful for
I have so much to be grateful for. As I look back on the forty-five years that I have relied on Christian Science, so many proofs of God's love for me and all stand out. The healing I would like to share is just one sample of the efficacy of this Science.
A few years ago I noticed that a wisdom tooth was beginning to come in, but coming in sideways, out of the side of the gum. Also, it seemed that there wouldn't be enough room for another tooth in the back of my jaw. I began to pray with powerful spiritual truths. I prayed to see more clearly that God, Spirit, is substance and that man, His spiritual idea, is His perfect manifestation. Also, I was encouraged by this Biblical promise (Isa. 40:4): "The crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain."
One day it became very clear to me that, in my real being as God's spiritual reflection, I was complete, His flawless creation. Very shortly I noticed that the wisdom tooth, which had broken through the skin of the side of the gum, had stopped hurting and had stopped growing out. Soon, in a matter of a week or so, the position of the tooth was corrected. The tooth then came through the gum in the proper place with plenty of room, something that had seemed impossible when the difficulty was first noticed. I still have the tooth; it has given me no trouble, and it is nicely shaped.
