Quite a few years have passed since my first testimony was published in the Sentinel in 1956, so I feel my further expression of gratitude for Christian Science is long overdue.
While living in England some years ago, I needed to roll up and lift a large, heavy carpet. When I did this, something inside my body became dislodged, which resulted in hemorrhaging. I called a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer. I knew that because God is the only real cause, there can be only one effect—good. By understanding that God is all-powerful and ever present, I felt safe in His love.
One night I woke to feel a change taking place in my body, and I knew with great joy that the healing had occurred. So it proved to be, because the hemorrhaging soon ceased and everything was normal again.
