One of my first healings after finding Christian Science was of a throat infection. The condition had been a seasonal problem, which had persisted for several years. I had always taken medication for it. The trouble would clear up after a few weeks but return the following year.

I had known about Christian Science only a few months when I decided to attend a Christian Science lecture that the local branch church was giving. I walked into the auditorium with the symptoms of the throat problem just starting. I felt like a parched explorer drinking in all the spiritual truths that were shared at that lecture. When the lecture was over I went home and pondered what I had heard. In the morning I realized that the throat condition was gone. It has not returned.

Since that first healing about ten years ago I have become a member of The Mother Church and a branch church and have had Christian Science class instruction. I continue to rely completely on God for healing, with the help of spiritual lessons learned from study of the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy.
