A number of years ago I selected Christ Jesus' Sermon on the Mount as a subject for study (see Matt., chaps. 5–7). I read it once a week in its entirety, and every day I chose passages for more intensive study. Little did I realize that I would receive inspiration from these verses that would lead to physical healing.
One day I became aware of a very ugly growth on my head, under my hair. When I went to the beauty parlor, the hairdresser said that the growth was a scalp wart and that I should have it removed by a physician. I decided to go to the only physician I've had, God.
At home I prayed and worked with this statement from the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5:48): "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." For a time the growth seemed to be getting larger, but I persisted with my study and prayer.
